Smartphone and electronics maker Apple is expanding its operations in India. It seems that the company has recently started trial production of the Apple iPhone 13 in our country . To this end, The Economic Times (ET) published an article. Apple is preparing to make all the best-selling smartphones in the country locally . In this context, the company has started trial production at its Foxconn plant near Chennai. Apple is expected to launch commercial production of the iPhone 13 in India by February for domestic market needs as well as exports, according to an ET news article.
Apple also received a supply of semiconductor chips. According to a report in the Economic Times, this has helped the company expand its plans to make products in India. Representatives of the company told ET that they would export 20-30 per cent of their products to devices manufactured in India. Apple and Foxconn have yet to formally comment on the matter.
